Naziv seminara: Beyond the Rubric: GenAI in Assessment Design and Evaluation

Jezik seminara: Engleski jezik

Sažetak seminara: This two-hour seminar examines the evolving role of generative AI in assessment design and evaluation, with attention to both formative and summative practices. It considers how such tools may be incorporated into the development of assessment criteria, the formulation of feedback, and the organisation of evaluative processes. Moving beyond procedural uses of rubrics, the session explores how AI can assist educators in generating feedback variations, identifying patterns in student performance, and aligning assessment tasks more closely with learning objectives.

At the same time, the seminar engages critically with the challenges associated with AI in assessment. Key issues include academic integrity, the ethical use of AI by both teachers and students, and the potential impact on the validity and reliability of assessment outcomes. Participants will reflect on how assessment design must evolve in response to the widespread availability of generative tools, including the need to prioritise thinking and authentic demonstration of learning.

Through discussion and practical examples, the session aims to support educators in integrating AI into assessment in ways that enhance responsiveness and efficiency while preserving fairness, transparency, and pedagogical integrity. Participants will leave with a more nuanced understanding of how to use AI as a supportive tool rather than a substitute for professional judgement.
