Sažetak predavanja:

From the lens of a Data veteran - thrilled to share my experience and eager to reveal the secret sauce of the biggest all-remote company in the world and what makes GitLab culture unique. How we went from 0 to a multi-billion dollar business without any office in less than 10 years and how we invented the new category and jumped into the leader's place in the DevOps world.

Let me break down my vision into 3 parts for easier understanding and join the ride about a great and beautiful friendship among DevSecOps, Data and Artificial intelligence.

How everything started and how to ramp up and invent the new category in the Tech world and sit on a leadership place. A story about DevOps from a GitLab perspective

As a person who has been trapped in the software industry and Data world for more than 2 decades, Radovan brings the experience he learned from his own mistakes and answers the questions:

  • why it is important to advocate for Open Source
  • how to embrace the DevOps culture
  • why transparency is a vital part of your DNA
  • what is the secret sauce of successful Data Teams

What is needed for a successful Data Teams

If you want to find out how the GitLab Data team embraces DevOps and open-source culture to move fast in a rapidly growing environment, you are in the right place. Will expose the building blocks for the success of creating the modern Data platform.

  • How do we learn the DatOps approach using our product and learn from it; Did someone mention pipelines?
  • Have a good reason to show you how data governance shouldn't be the boring part of your Data Engineering journey
  • What is the advantage of choosing open-source tools for your data transformation?
  • How to keep your codebase clean and neat and automate the boring things as a part of code quality culture in your process with the popular Python libraries
  • Why periodically you should go for the “boring“ solution and pick up “out of the shelves” products for data extraction

When nimble is not fast enough: how AI and Data will leverage our (and your) DevSecOps journey

In the modern Data and Tech world, you should either live under the stone or have someone cut off electricity in your apartment to avoid any serious touch on the AI.

A great chance to get the experience of DevSecOps and Data stories directly from producers of well-known and trusted DevSecOps platforms with more than 30 million users. Firmly believe that a story can aid and inspire an audience to try to do extraordinary things in their data world. Thrilled to have a chance to reveal a few answers with you:

  • What is the effect of the beautiful friendship between Data and the DevSecOps platform?
  • How leveraging the data offer developer throttle in their daily work and keep them from a headache and bad mood
  • What should put a smile on people's faces - does anyone mention productivity?
  • Is AI your best friend or your worst nightmare on the developer journey?

Forget about hypes and buzzwords, let's see AI in action makes a developer's life easier and super efficient, with a small help of data, of course.
